PS5 HDMI Repair Edmonton
PS5 powers on but your TV just says "no signal"? Nine times out of ten that's the HDMI port, and we fix it right at your door anywhere in Edmonton, so you're not shipping your console off for weeks.
Onsite PS5 HDMI Port Repair in Edmonton
It's easily the most common PS5 problem we get called out for. The console powers on, you hear the fan, the white light's glowing, but the TV just sits there on "no signal" or a black screen. Almost every time, it's the HDMI port itself, a pin that's bent or pushed in, a port that's come loose, or a cracked joint on the board, usually after a cable got bumped or yanked while it was plugged in. Here's the good part: the console's fine. It just needs the port fixed, which costs way less than buying a new PS5.
Doing it right means microsoldering, lifting the damaged port off the motherboard and soldering a fresh one back on. It's fiddly, precise work, not a snap-in part anyone can swap, and it's exactly what we do. We bring it to you across Edmonton, so you're not boxing up a $650 console to mail across the country, or leaving it at a shop for a week over the one weekend you actually had free to game.
Every job starts with a straight answer and a price before we begin, and unlike the mail-in places, there's no non-refundable fee just to look at it. The new port's backed by a workmanship warranty. How to Tell if Your PS5 HDMI Port Is the Problem
Before you assume the worst, try these quick checks. They take a couple of minutes and they tell us a lot:
1. Grab a flashlight and look inside the HDMI port on the console. You'll see a thin plastic tongue with tiny metal pins along the top and bottom. If any of them look bent, snapped off, or shoved toward the back, that's your problem right there.
2. Swap the cable, and try another TV or input. Plug the PS5 straight into the TV and skip the soundbar or receiver for a sec. If it fires up somewhere else but not on your setup, it might just be the cable or that TV input, not the console.
3. Watch the light. If the PS5 comes on with a solid white light but still gives you nothing on a cable and TV you know work, it's almost always the HDMI port. If the light blinks, or it beeps a few times and shuts off, that's a different board fault, and we fix those too.
Not sure what you're looking at? Snap a photo of the port or just tell us what it's doing, and we'll give you our honest read, HDMI, cable, or something else, before you book anything.
★★★★★"My PS5 was stuck on a black screen and I thought it was dead. He came to the house, showed me the bent pin in the HDMI port, and had it soldered and working again the same visit. Saved me from buying a whole new console. Super knowledgeable and honest."
